Surnames List

The organization has established a surnames list in which people can list the family names they are researching for the purpose of exchanging information with other researchers. This can be very helpful to researchers as the list consists of names in various counties in the area with timeframes ranging from the 1600s to the present day.

You do not have to be a member of MPAAGHS to add surnames to the list. Though the geographical focus of most of the surnames are in the Tidewater counties of the Middle Peninsula (Essex, Middlesex, King and Queen, King William, Gloucester and Mathews) and Northern Neck (King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland), you can add surnames for any area of the United States.
