Presentation on "My Road to the Past and Present"

December 14, 2013

Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society of Virginia (MPAAGHS) will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Essex Public Library, 117 North Church Lane (Rt. 17), Tappahannock, Virginia (map). The meeting will feature a presentation on "My Road to the Past and Present".

Genealogist, blogger, and lay historian Percy E. White II, creator of FindFamilyRoots.com, initially created a website to memorialize his father and grandfather. White, who is a resident of Waldorf, Maryland, now uses his website to not only document his own family history, but to assist others in researching and sharing their family histories, and to tell the stories of familiar and not well known people, places, and events in African-American history.

The public is cordially invited to attend the meeting. For further information about this meeting or about MPAAGHS, call 804.651.8753 or visit mpaagenealogicalsociety.org.
